Melissa Willig tried signs, at first, to get people to slow down on her street and keep the safety of small children in mind.

They worked for a little while.

Now, her neighborhood is trying a new strategy: A temporary speed bump, which neighbors hope will slow down reckless drivers without requiring the city to invest a large amount of money.
