Trump Angers South Korea

Secretary of Defense Mark Esper went to South Korea to discuss new threats from “enraged” North Korea.

According to CNN, he would also try and ease strain caused by President Donald Trump.

The president demanded South Korea pay roughly 500 percent more in 2020.

A congressional aide and administration official said Trump wants them to cover the cost of keeping U.S. troops there.

The demand angered South Korea and put into question U.S. commitment to their alliance.

Esper on his upcoming visit to India said, "Secretary Pompeo and I would be there (India) next week, it's our second 2+2 (ministerial) with Indians and third ever for India and US.
