In a tweet Ocasio-Cortez slammed private equity groups, saying that their impact is bigger than music.

She argues that private equity groups' predatory practices hurt millions of Americans and impact their jobs.

She wrote "Their leveraged buyouts have destroyed the lives of retail workers across the country, scrapping 1+ million jobs.
