Trump's Impromptu Medical Exam 'Not Protocol'

President Donald Trump's visit to Walter Reed on Saturday did not follow the protocol of a routine presidential medical exam.

CNN reports Walter Reed medical staff didn't receive a staff-wide notice about a presidential visit.

Typically, the Bethesda, Maryland, facility would be notified about a "VIP" visit ahead of a presidential visit.

Normally, he prefers to go to Walter Reed by aircraft, but sources say this time the president opted to go by motorcade.
