We start tonight with eugene in crisis... and yet another neighborhood affected by transients.

Thank you for joining us.

I'm chynna greene.

This one happened near the lane county fair grounds.

Kezi 9 news reporter emma withrow spoke with one resident who bought a house one week before her not so friendly neighbors moved onto the side walk.

Emma: it wasn't much of a welcome for one family after they moved into this quiet neighborhood near the lane county fair grounds.

Instead of a gift basket& they got vomit, feces, and signs of an attempted break in.

Katherine parish and her husband purchased their home on november 22-nd, and by the 23rd were already dealing with major issues.

Katherine: we purchased the home and the next day when we stopped by we found somebody had deficated in our driveway, they vomitted over our driveway too, they broke our screen door trying to break in i'm assuming this homeless camp is on a strip of concrete in front of the eugene faith center.

I tried talking to church leaders... but they didn't want to comment.

Parish said before they bought their house the neighborhood was quiet and had no signs of homelessness.

Buy just hours after signing on the dotted line... says the campers started pitching their tents.

My husband and i have been talking about whether or not we should list the house again even though we just purchased it, cause we dont feel safe here.

Emma: coming up at 5& you'll hear from the transients themselves& and why they think they're doing nothing wrong.
