The Southern Oregon Raiders softball team continues to reap the benefits of being the 2019 NAIA champions as they are set to play Team USA before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Benefits for the raiders softball team keep on coming.
It was announced today that the 20-19 champs will get to play team u-s-a in march.
[g12]sb sou to play team usa-vo as the u-s national team prepares for the 20-20 summer olympics in tokyo, they are making multiple spots around the country.
It's all apart of the stand beside her tour which aims to, quote, evoke a message of unity aimed to inspire future generations of female athletes.
This raiders team is excited to be apart of it.
Hannah shimek says, "i feel like i'm going to step into the box and watch that first pitch just 'whoosh,' fly by and i'm going to be like, 'alright here we go' and try excited for the experience and whatever happens happens but we're going to play our best but i know it's going to be like the coolest experience ever, just like nationals."
The game will take place on march 18-th at the univeristy of oregon.
It will be a doubleheader, with s-o-u taking on team u-s-a at three-30 and the ducks playing 35 minutes after the end of that game.
