VARIOUS OF RED PANDAS EXPLORING ZOO ENCLOSURE AND EATING BAMBOO FROM CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS STORY: Festive decorations got giant pandas and red pandas into the Christmas spirit at Berlin Zoo and Tierpark Berlin in December.

Red Christmas stockings set the mood for twin giant panda cubs as they hang above their protective cot at Zoo Berlin on December 4.

The three-month-old twin panda cubs had their first public appearance during a naming ceremony on Monday (December 9), 100 days after they were born.

The ceremony revealed that both cubs are male and that they have been named Meng Xiang and Meng Yuan, which means "desired dream" and "fulfilled dream" respectively, Zoo Berlin said.

Red pandas also enjoyed holiday decorations in their enclosure at Tierpark Berlin, discovering their bamboo treats hidden inside Christmas stockings on December 5.
