The final journey from Mayfair Church of Christ to Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, was lined with people showing appreciation and respect for fallen officer Billy Clarty.
Today -- many people lined up on both sides of airport road to pay their respect for officer clardy.
The procession went through the intersection of airport road and whitesburg drive, where i'm standing.
It took about 20 to 30 minutes for the entire procession to pass through and the weather this afternoon didn't stop anyone.
Something like this hits close to home for many people in huntsville, since officer clardy impacted so many people's lives.
"just to show the officer respect for his service for the city and service for our country" the are proud people and they should be because they were involved with billy.
We just help them.
We lift them up.
We just do what we can for them.
We thank them for billy we thank them for who they are.
We thank them for billy and allowing billy to be in our lives.
We just really appreciate" from the start to finish of the procession in this location, i watched several people salute and thank officers for their service.
And with sleet, rain, and some snow.....the weather got progressively worse during the procession, but it didn't stop people from coming out.
