Johnson: We are trying 'to dial this thing down'

Boris Johnson has said that his government are trying to "dial this thing down" as he spoke in parliament about the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.

His comment came after Jeremy Corbyn accused the prime minister's government of not putting the interests of the British people first and instead prioritising Mr Johnson's relationship with President Trump.

The prime minister called this "absolute fiction" and slammed the Labour leader's decision not to condemn General Soleimani.
