"This is really not a news conference, it's not a speech.
It's not anything.
It's just we're sort of - it's a celebration," U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters, before holding up the Washington Post newspaper with a front-page story on his impeachment acquittal.
President Donald Trump, facing a bruising re-election campaign and possible further investigations in Congress, on Thursday called the Democrats who pursued his impeachment corrupt.
The remarks came a day after the Republican-controlled Senate acquitted him in his historic impeachment trial on charges brought by the Democratic-led House of Representatives.
On largely party-line votes, the Senate acquitted Trump on Wednesday of charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, keeping him in office.
