Should the Nathan Bedford Forrest bust be moved from Tennessee's State Capitol building?

The latest attempt is a resolution filed by Representative Rick Staples from Knoxville that calls for removing the bust, and replacing it with that of another Tennessean.

He lists paying tribute to Anne Davis, the third female elected to the Tennessee House or William Yardley, the first African American to run for Tennessee Governor as possible suggestions.

Governor Lee stated his plans to put an end to Forrest Day, which he is currently required to proclaim annual celebration of the Confederate general.

The resolution to remove the bust has been placed on hold for now, while amendments are being made.

However, the Tennessee Historical Commission, who has the power to remove/replace the bust, is scheduled to meet on February 20th to discuss what to do about it.

What do you think?
