A darter bird was found with a roll of thread stuck around its beak, but was rescued by motorcyclists passing by in the south Indian state of Karnataka.

The incident took place on January 19, in Belgaum city.

The rescuer uses a small hand saw and file to remove the thread that is stuck on its beak.

According to the reports, the biker was riding on the Pune-Bangalore Highway when he saw the bird crossing the road and moving into nearby shrubs.

The rescue of the bird took 60 minutes as the thread stuck on its beak was very tough and hard to cut.

Later the bird was safely released into a nearby lake.
