A mother burst into tears as she was 'reunited' with her seven-year-old daughter who died three years ago with the help of virtual reality technology.

Mother 'reunites' with deceased daughter in virtual reality
Jang Ji-sung's daughter Na-yeon died when she was just seven-years-old.
Three years after her death, she's had the chance to 'meet' her again using virtual reality technology.

NA-YEON, HOW HAVE YOU BEEN?" (SOUNDBITE) (Korean) SOUTH KOREAN MOTHER, JANG JI-SUNG, WHO MET HER DECEASED DAUGHTER THROUGH VIRTUAL REALITY TECHNOLOGY, SAYING: "I was so happy to see her (Na-yeon) that way.
If Na-yeon were alive, she would now be 11 years old, and it's heartbreaking to see that her time has stopped at the age seven." The heart-wrenching reunion was aired last week in a documentary by South Korean broadcaster MBC.
The documentary, titled "Meeting You," struck a chord with many South Koreans.
And the studio director has defended the use of the technology.
(SOUNDBITE) (Korean) DIRECTOR AT SOUTH KOREA'S VIVE STUDIOS, LEE HYUN-SUK, SAYING: "People often think that technology is cold.
We decided to participate in this project to see if the technology can comfort and warm people's minds when it is used for people." Kim Jong-Woo, the senior producer on the project, explained the motivation behind it.

If they were to meet, what can they talk about, what do they want to talk about?
This is the biggest motivation of this project." The second episode of the documentary is due to be aired in March.
