Preservation society and ashley hall founded by two pioneering women at charleston are celebrating nearly a century of voting and just days before thousands of women will cost about during the south carolina primary.

Mary vardrine mcbee was the founder of ashley hall in 1909 and just over 10 years later the preservation society was founded by season susan pringle frost.

They were friends and neighbors of the national action women's suffrage and they will talk about the celebration of the 100 anniversary of voting rights and how they both contributed to a flourishing city of charleston.

Ashley hall alumni and psc members can tour three historic buildings tonight and that is app with a reception with a historian as the keynote speaker and tours begin at 4:00 p.m.

At ashley hall and a reception will be at 7:00 p.m.
