The preservation society and ashley hall founded by two pioneering women with celebration of a century of voting and thousands of women will cost ballots during the south carolina primary.

Mary vardrine mcbee was the founder of ashley hall at 1909 and just over 10 years later the preservation society of charleston was founded by susan pringle prospered they were friends and active members of the national women's party promoting women's suffrage.

Today they want a celebration to emphasize how the 100 years of preservation and that major anniversary of women's right to vote have contributed to a flourishing charleston.
