Hospitals in Indonesia prepare for coronavirus

After two cases of coronavirus were confirmed this week hospitals across the country are prepping for incoming cases of the deadly disease.

Footage captured on March 4 shows workers at Medan Adam Malik Hospital in surgical masks and hazmat suits, while subsequent clips show many members of the general public wearing protective masks.

Medan hospital has examined at least four people where only one has been ordered to have further monitoring.

Indonesia's first Covid-19 patient is a 31-year-old woman who contracted the virus when dealing with a Japanese citizen who was later identified as a number 24 Covid-19 victim in Malaysia, while the second is a mother of 64 years old.

President Joko Widodo has ordered officials to protect the identities and privacy of all confirmed Covid-19 patients, following Monday's announcement of the first confirmed pneumonia-like infection case in the country.
