Action superstar Vin Diesel was out in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (March 11) to promote his new movie "Bloodshot," a Valiant Comics adaptation.

The movie sees Diesel star as a murdered marine who is brought back to life with super strength after he is enhanced with nanotechnology by a team of scientists "I'm so excited to watch this film tonight.

I'm so excited that so many people showed up and it's evident that escapism is needed now more than ever so it's nice to be able to provide some.

This is movie is that fun and I just ... I'm just really excited to see people's reaction and feedback," said Diesel, after posing for photos with film's cast and crew.

The release of "Bloodshot" comes as the world is grappling with a coronavirus outbreak that has killed thousands.

The outbreak has had a big impact on the entertainment industry, with movie releases and festivals such as South by South West and Coachella being postponed.

Asked on Tuesday if there was concern within the film industry about the impact of the virus, Diesel said: "Well it should be, right?

I mean, all entrainment should be somewhat worried and yet I am just not worried.

I'm just not.

I mean I should be going 'this is crazy, let's push the movie' but I'm not.

And I don't know if I'm tapping into the soldier's spirit of 'Bloodshot.'

You know, a soldier doesn't dictate when and where he is deployed, when it is go time it is go time." "Bloodshot," which also stars Eiza Gonzalez, Guy Pearce and Sam Heughan, opens on March 13.
