NBA Braces for Best-Case Scenario for Season Resume NBA owners and executives are bracing for a possible return to the NBA season after its suspension due to the coronavirus outbreak.

League officials are discussing the best-case scenario for the league's return as late as mid-to-late June.

Still, fears remain that the season could be lost altogether, due to the continued spread of the virus around the country.

The NBA is expected to provide projections on three scenarios: the financial costs of shutting down the season, restarting with no fans in the arena, or playing playoff games with fans.

Teams have been told to search out arena dates in August for the playoffs as well as alternate venues to play games in.
