News 12 now's joeli poole joins us ..joeli how did you prepare for the cruise and what you saw while you were on the ship.
So today i want to talk to you guys about the cruise and how it was so different.
When i was getting ready to leave on my cruise the virus had not spread that much yet.
But i was aware of it.
I packed a big bottle of lysol, clorox wood, bottles of germ x, gloves and mask just in case.
When we arrived at the port and prepared to get on.
We had to fill out a health questionnaire and get our temperatures checked.
Then if you passed those you could continue with the boarding process.
When on board you could see the staff still cleaning like crazy even wiping down walls and spraying everything.
When i got into our room i sprayed everything i could touch with lysol and wiped down all the handles and counters.
Throughout the ship there was extra precautions taken.
More sanitizing stations and workers were the only ones allowed to touch the food.
No self serving.
I appreciated this.
I also kept germ x in the room.
We could really see those extra precautions being taken.
Later on i'll tell y'all about how it felt getting off the ship knowing the virus had become much worse.
