Mark Zuckerberg Denies Possibility Of Sharing Smartphone Location Data With The US Government

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg denied reports that Facebook will share users’ smartphone location data.

Zuckerberg was asked about sharing this data with the U.S. government to help fight the coronavirus.

The CEO said on a conference call it didn’t “make sense” to share that data without people being able to opt out of it.

The Washington Post reported that Facebook, Google and other tech companies were considering the idea.
