Many nursing homes are completely restricted from visitors to keep the coronavirus out.
So this family visits their parents through the windows everyday.
They are able to talk to them on the phone.
Sharon is able to video chat with her mom, artie.
She says it is making all the difference to still be able to have contact with her mom.
"i know it helps to go see her through the window and get to talk her a little bit that way because she just lights up to see my face.
And i hope that continues you know we dont know how long this is going to last" the newell family is having to put their in- person visits on hold for now as they follow the rules of the stay-at- home order.
