At least 250 people died from covi?19 yesterday alone.

47 cases in the tr?state.

Daviess county leading the area with 22 cases so far?

While other tr?state communities sitting below seven.

Almost every aspect of life has been affected by this emerging pandemic?

And it's hurting people right here at home.

Covi?19 cases across the tr?state continue to ris?heading toward 50 positive results.

Vanderburgh county saw the most increas?

No counties in southern illinois have reported any cases of coronavirus so far?

But great harvest bread company in owensboro is trying to adapt to the changing times even giving door dash a try for the very first time.

"it's all about us pitching in together and all of us working together as a community and just being kind.

It's makes me feel good that i can, like, reach out and see 'oh, they look like they could use maybe a loaf of bread' and i can give it to them."

Great harvest business owners say they're making sure bread is available for anyone who might need it.

They're also working with grocery stores to make sure those businesses are meeting demand.

Those volunteers donating their time and resources giving back to their communities say they're*also experiencing a shortage of supplies.

Food banks say they're seeing an increase in demand?

Due to the covi?19 pandemic.

The coronavirus has created a real perfect storm for us here at the food bank.

On one hand, the need is increasing exponentially , so there a lot more demand.

The indiana national guard is sending muc?

Needed supplies to some of the hardest hit areas of indiana.

The national guard has grouped indiana hospitals and health departments?

Based on their need.

If a facility is in the red zone?

That means they'll run out of supplies in the next 24 hours.

If it is in the yellow zone?

There's about a fou?day supply before the hospital will run out.

Fortunately?

No hospitals have run out of supplies yet?

But there is a growing concern.

It's extremely important... when they wear it."

State health officials sent out an urgent message to clinics, dentists and some physicians?

Asking them to transfer their face masks and other key supplies to local hospitals.
