VARIOUS OF MUSICIANS OF ROTTERDAM PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA PERFORMING BEETHOVEN’S SYMPHONY 9 ‘ODE TO JOY’ WHILE BEING AT THEIR HOMES STORY: Musicians from the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra virtually came together and performed Ludwig van Beethoven's 9th symphony while being at their homes in the Netherlands earlier this month.

The video of the Beethoven's 'Ode to Joy' recorded with 19 musicians playing their individual parts.

“In their earphones, they listened to a metronome, so they all played at the same pace.

They recorded it with their own phones or cameras.

The recordings were merged with a video software then,” the orchestra told Reuters.

The Dutch orchestra added, the idea of this performance came from the musicians who couldn't see each other for practices due to the forced self-isolation amid coronavirus.
