Health officials report first COVID-19 death in Vigo County

News 10 is following a breaking news story out of vigo county tonight.

That's where vigo county's joint information center just reported its first "death" from covid-19.

News 10 spoke with the vigo county health department just a few minutes ago.

They say the patient was in their 50's.

They also say the patient had "many" underlying health conditions.

Right now we're still working to learn which hospital the victim was in.
