The downtown chico business association started putting out these baracades right outside of businesses -.they're acting as parking stations for so cars can pull up right here and get their curbside to go or pickup orders.

Sweet chico confections isn't letting the crisis stop them from putting a smile on a child's face or brightening someone's day with a tasty treat.

They are still serving gelato!

Which i was so happy to hear about.

Owner nancy carlson even does virtual facetime shopping for customers who can't come inside.

And they are still keeping up with their 13 year tradition making easter baskets.

<moms are home with their kids and dads home with their children and the kids just want a treat and they're doing their homework and doing their school activities we have little special goodie bags we make up and moms can pick them up and give them to their kids...we're all about trying to flatten the curve but we also not but we also not people still need to eat get things for their kids to keep them busy while theyre not in school so we're doing everything we can to follow state and national gudelines and starting today parking is free in downtown chico.

The restaurant crush is giving togo lasagnas -- both vegetarian and meat -- from 3 to 6p.m.

Today and all proceeds are 100 percent going back to their employees.
