Bomb detonated on Portsmouth beach

An unexploded device has been detonated after it washed up on a south coast beach.

The Royal Navy’s bomb disposal squad was dispatched to blow up the shell and some flares which were found on Southsea beach in Portsmouth, Hampshire.
