Former New York Knick helps New Yorkers

Announced that he is making arrangements to deliver 10 million masks to new york for hospital workers and other first responders.

((take vo)) marbury, a coney island native, told the new york post that he has arranged for a supplier in china - where he played professionally for 8 years - to sell the masks for two dollars and 75 cents each, a big drop in price compared the standard n-95 masks that costs about 7 dollars and 50 cents each.

He took to twitter today tweeting, -- "i'm from brooklyn and my family lost loved ones due to the virus.

It's a sad time so i'm trying to help another brooklyn-nite help people."

-- according to the brooklyn borough hall, since china is now recovering from the pandemic, marbury's mask contact has more than the country currently needs.

The masks would be delievered 2 million at a time over five weeks.
