Loads of sun cream but no bread: the new normal for UK supermarkets under coronavirus lockdown

Social distancing and empty shelves are now a common sight in the UK, as seen at this Tesco Extra in Woolwich, south-east London on Wednesday (April 1st).

Shelves for foods such as baked beans, bread and cereal are seen with limited or no stock.

Brits would usually be preparing for Easter holiday breaks, but the "seasonal" section can be seen fully stocked of sun cream - compared to the empty soap shelves.

Customers can be seen practising social distancing as they queue at safe distances, obeying the signage in the store.
