(SOUNDBITE) (English) AMERICAN WAKESKATER, BRIAN GRUBB, SAYING: "Lencois Maranhenses is one of the most unique places in the world.

It looks like a desert, but it's not really a desert, because it's so close to the ocean and there's so much rainfall here and that's what gives, you know, all the water in between all the dunes and everything.

And it's really just a one-of-kind place." 14.

VRABLOVA IN ACTION STORY: With idyllic wakeskating destinations hard to come by, Lencois Maranhenses National Park's dunes and lakes in Brazil serve as the perfect location for Red Bull wakeskaters Zuzana Vrablova and Brian Grubb to test their skills.

Nestled in the State of Maranhao and stretching out along the northeast coast, Vrablova and Grubb fulfilled their dreams of wakeskating in what's dubbed 'the sea of sand dunes' due to water pools that are formed during the rainy season.

Video published on April 7 shows the Slovakian and American enjoying all the dunes had to offer when they visited the region in November 2019.

Wakeskating is known as wakeboarding's twin, with the only difference being that a rider has no bindings securing him or her to the board.
