There's a lot of confusion around the wearing of disposable gloves outdoors to combat the novel coronavirus COVID-19.
According to HuffPost, the World Health Organization discourages the wearing of gloves when on errands such as shopping.
That's because it gives the wearer a false sense of security.
Also, washing and reusing disposable gloves is difficult.
The gloves aren't meant for multiple uses, and can easily develop small tears.
