Medic supplies from China delivered to Palestine to curb coronavirus

Chinese medical supplies were delivered to Palestine yesterday (April 15) in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health in Ramallah received a package of medical aid from China, which contained about 50,000 laboratory kits to test coronavirus.

Palestinian Minister of Health Dr Mai Elkila supervised the team of Chinese officials who delivered the supplies at the Chinese embassy.

Dr Elkila said: "Of course, aid is of great importance because we need laboratory materials to carry out tests that include the largest number of the Palestinian people.

"It is not present in the local market or in the regional and therefore its transmission here from the friendly and sister country China is important.

"All thanks go to the country of the Republic of China as president, government and people for this wonderful donation."
