Provided by the coronavirus is impacting everyone--- children, adults, at school and at work& but for one willow's business owner--- it's hitting way too close to home& action news nows vanessa romo joins us in studio, vanessa how is she adapting during this trying time?

She's a small business owner that is struggling with sales due to the virus& but she is also a mother, and wife to someone who is very vulnerable to the virus& a double edged sword she is learning to handle.

Despite the "open" sign, healthy habits in willows has been hit hard by the coronavirus& "its been a struggle with the stay at home because foot traffic has reduced& owner, missy beavers says her store saw a 50 percent decrease in sales& im a big promoter of creativity--- and looking for the positives and using your brain and imagination to look for something more creative --- online shopping, door drops, curbside pickup& so covid for us had us like okay how can we still support the people we love and offer them services in a different way& adapting--- to protect her community& and her loved ones, one of them very vulnerable to covid-19.

My husband has leukemia and is currently getting cancer treatments so we of all people are aware of the infection risks here and of the susceptible populations&& her husband started his battle with cancer eight years ago.

He had a bone marrow transplant, several chemotherapy treatments and had to quarantine twice& so i am the loudest promoter for flattening the curve and staying at home& but in the same breath im also a supporter of small businesses& glenn county along with five other northern california counties sent a letter to governor gavin newsom requesting the ability to initiate a reopening of local economies&.

I think there's a solution between these two things, i just don't have it& but she has her experience& it's a lot of responsibility on the individual& because my husband with an immune compromised system is still alive& a responsibility that we all carry.

& if everyone had that same view and everyone was looking out for each other, perhaps there's a solution to reopening.

Missy usually works from home and says she consults with customers on health habits.
