Anti-government protesters return to streets of Hong Kong as lockdown eases

Anti-government protesters have returned to the streets of Hong Kong now that the coronavirus lockdown has been eased.

Footage showed demonstrators chanting "Glory to Hong Kong" in Langham Place despite a heavy police presence in the area.

Despite around 200 police officers being deployed the protest remained peaceful without any incidents on May 1.

Protesters also gathered at Prince Edward station on April 30th to mark a violent police crackdown on demonstrators eight months ago.
