On May 1st, Democratic nominee Joe Biden denied allegations he sexually assaulted Tara Reade in 1993.
“It is not true.
I’m saying unequivocally, it never, never happened.” It was the first time Biden has publicly addressed the allegation.
The accusations has caused a crisis of conscience among Democratic Party officials and voters.
Biden is trying to unseat President Donald Trump.
According to TIME magazine Trump has been accused of sexual assault by at least 17 women.
What do we know about Reade's accusations?
She says she was assaulted in 1993 when she brought Joe Biden a gym bag in one of the Senate buildings.
She said she reported the incident to Biden's office.
Biden's staff at that time deny the accusations.
However, several of Reade's friends have come forward to claim she told them about the assault years ago.
