Thousands queue for COVID-19 tests in Malaysia to be able to return to work

Thousands of out-of-work locals formed long queues to take mandatory Covid-19 test before they are allowed to resume working.

The line was more than a mile long when it was recorded by passing driver Mukhzani Aila in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on May 6 morning.

He said: "This was how far the line went.

Poor planning and management were apparent.

There wasn't much social distancing being observed." Malaysia has introduced compulsory tests for the coronavirus which locals must pass before they are allowed to resume work.

The country has recorded 6,438 positive cases of the coronavirus so far, one of the worst tallies in Southeast Asia.
