Compared to last week's reports, Monday's report shows a decrease in newly confirmed cases and deaths in Mississippi.
The state announced 173 new cases with five new deaths including one in itawamba county.
Right now there are 9-thousand- 674 cases in the magnolia state.... the state's total death count is now at 435 the new total does include a death from itawamba county which the coroner said may have happened at the hospital.
If we look at the numbers across our viewing area... monroe county is reporting the largest number of cases of the virus with 199 cases lee county now with 80 cases chickasaw county with 93 heading south... the state is reporting 196 cases confirmed cases of the virus in attala county.... noxubee ...with 105 cases lowndes ..with 86 oktibbeha county ... with 89 in the western part of our viewing area..
The state is reporting there are 101 confirmed cases of the virus in lafayette county..
In calhoun county..58 in marshall county..56 in grenada..52 and in yalobusha...36 across the state line
