Nurses at Omandurar Medical College in Chennai paid tribute to Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, on International Nurses Day on May 12.
Tamil Nadu Health Minister C Vijayabaskar also visited the hospital and expressed his gratitude to the nurses and nursing staff there.
Nightingale was born on May 12, 1820 and people across the world are celebrating her 200th birthday anniversary amid the coronavirus pandemic.
