But I had to stay in my room for another week, so I was beginning to go quite stir crazy.

And one day after lunch I picked up my fork and I pressed a line into a banana, I don't know why but I did, and I noticed that it left a mark and then the longer that I left it the mark became darker and darker.

So I thought this is a way you can make art." LONDON, ENGLAND, UNITED KINGDOM (MAY 19, 2020) (ANNA CHOJNICKA / INSTAGRAM/ @BANANA_BRUISER - MUST ON SCREEN COURTESY ANNA CHOJNICKA / INSTAGRAM/ @BANANA_BRUISER)(MUTE) 4.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) BANANA ART CREATOR, ANNA CHOJNICKA, SAYING: "I do it mostly because I enjoy it, I find it quite therapeutic and quite meditative actually, during this uncertain, crazy, chaotic time.

It's helping me to stay calm and sane and yeah, I just really enjoy it.

And actually it's nice because I post it every day I have a record now of my experience of quarantine, I can look back on, I can look at any given picture and remember what I was feeling at that particular time, is like a document of this mad time that we are in." VARIOUS OF STILL PHOTOGRAPHS OF BANANA ARTWORK STORY: Anna Chojnicka found her self stuck in her bedroom at her London apartment two months ago, suspected of having contracted the novel coronavirus.

Under self-isolation she had discovered a new talent that has proven fruitful - banana art.

The Londoner bruises bananas with a comb to create intricate works of art, which include a portrait of singer Amy Winehouse, the London skyline and an NHS nurse.

Time lapse videos filmed between May and April show Chojnicka creating artwork at home by pressing into the banana with her tools and bruising the peel.

"I find the process quite therapeutic and calming, especially during this time of crisis and having to stay indoors during quarantine," Chojnicka told Reuters.

The artist is now hoping to use her skill to raise money for charity, committing to creating a banana a day in support of FareShare, a UK charity fighting hunger and food waste through redistributing of surplus food to frontline charities across the country.
