Only about half of Americans would get a covid-19 vaccine

Only about half of americans would get a covid-19 vaccine if it's created.

That's according to a new poll by the associated press and the center for public research.

About 20 percent of those polled say they wouldn't get the vaccine if scientists come up with one.

Another 31-percent are unsure.

The findings show the public has a lot of questions about vaccinations for the virus.

Health officials insist safety is the top priority as researchers across the world scramble to come up with a vaccine.

When he was in lexington tuesday... senate majority leader mitch mcconnell said coming up with a vaccine was one of the keys to getting the country back on track.

He also said he expected congress to pass covid-19 relief bill.

It appears the focus of the next relief bill will be on restaurants, stores and other small businesses struggling during the pandemic.

The house this week is expected to pass legislation that would give small employers more time to take advantage of federal aid for payroll and other costs.

The senate is considering a similar legislation.

People all across the nation have been relying on their unemployment checks just to get by during the coronavirus pandemic.
