New at 4 - action news now received several phone calls that gridley high's gym is open for students.

We went to check it out.

We caught up with one junior at the school.

He told us he just finished using the weight room and the track.

He also said staff is cleaning each piece of equipment before and after someone uses it.

A woman in the community says her grandson is on the football team and has been training for 2 weeks now.

I think that's wonderful they need the practice i don't see anything wrong with that i really think its been a long time we've been staying at home for a long long time and i think its good for these kids& (student now) me:how long have you been coming here and working out?

Student: well you know since they are saying it's a serious possibility you can get the virus i took some time off but then i decided to give it a little break and come back a few weeks later> the school also posted on it's facebook page it's holding cheerleading tryouts at the gym next week.

Action news now reached out to the prinicipal and the athletic director.
