After 11- after 11-hours of protests saturday -- a group has gathered again outside the vigo county courthouse -- demanding action -- demanding change.

9:35:25 - :31 "i wake up everyday and i see that someone's either been killed or a police officer has killed someone."

Local police say weekend protests in terre haute were mostly peaceful... but that was not the case in other cities like indianapolis and chicago.

Now... the governors of indiana and illinois are joining state leaders in other states -- calling for a stop to the violence and coordinating efforts with the national guard.

We begin tonight in terre haute where protesters have gathered for a second day.

At times... hundreds were in downtown terre haute saturday -- many protesting for 11-hours.

Some of those same protest are back out this evening -- demanding justice for george floyd.

A black man who was killed by police in minneapolis last week.

Protesters again holding signs in the air... and chanting for justice and police accountability.

We spoke with 1-protester who was also at yesterday's demonstration.

He says he is tired of hearing about and seeing black lives lost at the hands of police -- and until that is addressed there will be no peace.

Taking a look back on yesterday's protests now... we spoke with indiana state police sergeant matt ames.

He says saturday's protest was mostly peaceful and state troopers did not make any arrests.
