An early morning shooting on Sunday killed an 18-year-old from Biloxi and injuring three others.

The shooting occurred on the corner of Polk St.

And Carolina Avenue in Gulfport.

Early sunda- morning, multiple shots - were fired on the corner of pol- street and carolina avenue- augustine sanders, a resident ,- says "one baby was running so fast he ran out of his- shoes in our yard."

The sanders family lives on - carolina avenue and had two - bullets rickashay throughout- their house.- <nats: "it came in here and out here"> augustine sanders, resident,- says "when they started to clos down the party was- when all the gun violence - started.

It was crazy.

We were- scared for our lives.

- we were sleeping when it- happened.

We just woke up to- gunshots all over our - house.

We stayed down till the- gunfire stopped.

When it stoppe- , we got up - and saw all of the bullet - holes."

The sanders family was not the- only family awoken to the - sound of gunshots having to tak- cover.- connie daniels, a resident, say- "we heard a lot of shots and my wife screamed - and hit the floor.

I said 'i- aint hittin no floor' you know- because i'm kinda handicaped.

S- she took me in the hallway and- after everything calmed down we- came- outside and saw everything goin- on."

- - - connie grew up in the area and- his family had moved back two - years ago.- - - - connie daniels, a resident, say- "it's been real quiet since we've been back, ain't- nothing like this happened sinc- i was younger.

There used to be- - - - some shooting out here but it - had calmed down alot."

Lorraine weiskopf, reporter,- says, "just to give you a littl bit of perspective on how - big the crime scene actually is- i'm standing on the corner of - - - - polk st.

And carolina avenue.

- and the crime does not end till- over here, where i'm pointing m- finger."

The investigation is active.

So- far only two arrests have - been made for tampering with- evidence.

- jason ducree, poi gulfport- police, says "it's still new, it's still on going, we're- asking- people to come forward with any- new information."
