McDonalds in Derby turns customers away following warnings from police

A McDonalds in Derby was forced to turn some customers away on reopening day following warnings that queuing motorists caused disruption.

Footage from Wednesday (June 3) shows long queues of motorists waiting to be served and McDonalds staff wearing masks.

The Osmaston Park Road store manager said he had received warnings from the local police that if traffic began to block the surrounding roads, police would force the store to close down for the day.

McDonalds closed all UK restaurants on Monday (March 23) due to the coronavirus outbreak.
