C1 3 according to governor andy beshear...covid 19 was a contributing factor... in the death of a 9-month- old... from hopkins county the state health commissioner says the baby died from sudden infant death syndrome, or sids.

And, a later test showed the baby also had the coronavirus.

According to the governor... this is the first infant covid-19-related death in the state.

"it's a 9-month old, we grieve for everybody that we have lost, to covid 19 and far too often people think it only happns to med compromised seniors, um this is a reminder, of how deadly this virus can be, how precious all of our lives are."

Related death today in franklin county...a man in his seventies who had been in contact with an earlier confirmed case.

Acocording to governor beshear... the total number of people who have died from the coronavirus in the state is now 450.

The governor also announced... 265 new cases of the virus today.
