CDC Reveals People Over 60 Make Up 20% Of All ER Visits

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says one in five visits to US emergency rooms involve seniors 60 years and older.

Also, 7% of patients in hospital ERs come from nursing homes.

From 2014 through 2017, people 90 and older accounted for the bulk of ER visits among older adults.

While the most recent data is from 2017, the findings outline the overall health among those living in nursing homes.
