For having us in your home tonight.

Today marks a full week of protests in the summit city - with the last several days being peaceful.

However tonight brought forth some strong emotions about what could happen.

Fox 55'sjentill neal tells us about what people are expecting for the weekend.

Hunter, police say they heard reports of outside instigators atte protest ight but haven't confirmed that.

I talked to protesters about it.

Here's what they have to say.

It's day 8 of protests in fort wayne, however this is day one for heather hartman.she's originally from fort wayne but now lives in toledo.> 00:00:05-00:00:11"i've been staying present with it all week, but i wanted to make sure i had my presence here."

She feels it's important to come back home to fort wayne because of family here, and she's hoping people from out of town share the same sentiment of keeping the peace.

12:03:48-12:04:05"we're peaceful.

We want change.

So leave that in your city.

If you want to come here to destruct some stuff or you want to make a mess, leave that in your own city.

Don't bring that to fort wayne.

We want peace.

I'm not for the rioting.

I'm not for that stuff.

Received information about outside instigators possibly coming to tonights protest but couldn confirm those reports.

However, police say they are prepared with extra resources for the weekend.protesters from here say their focus is on enacting change peacefully - not through vandalism and violence.

>12:09:30-00:01:42" i don't think people really care about the issues but i do think a few broken windows compared to people losing their lives, i don't see it as big as an issue.

We haven't seen as much destruction as we have had in other cities so i don't think it's been as much as an issue, but i don't like when people do that."

Police say if you see police in the protest area, they are asking that protestors leave to avoid any chaos and possible trouble.
