C1 3 in lexington the 13th night of protests lookied a little different than the last night.

Protestor organizers say they needed a break and so they didn't march, but they did come together at their normal time of 8 pm to discuss updates...and rehash their message.

L3: abc 36 news white 13th night of protests downtown lexington leaders again discussed specific policy changes they want to see in the police contract...as well as the movement to defund the police.

Similar to last night, organizers talked about daezon morgan...the 25 year old black man who was fatally hit on monday by matthew starling...a white man who has been charged with 2nd degree manslaughter.

They were...and still are...concerned that starling's charges only seemed to be elevated after protestors demanded a more serious charge...but police say that's not the truth...saying its process for reconstructing vehicular accidents are consistent.

Organizer sarah williams..says she filed an own records request today, not just for the incident report on morgan's death...but also every piece of communication between officers involving the case...and the disciplinary file of all officers dating back to may of 2019.

Organizers say they will be available if there are any problems...and will be back tomorrow.
