A Black Lives Matter mural is painted in front of the federal courthouse in downtown Eugene.

Inland.

New video this morning shows a black lives matter mural being painted in front of the federal courthouse in downtown eugene.

Take a look from the sky.

This is video from our weather cam 9.

As we zoom in, you're looking at east 8th avenue.

The courthouse is on the left.

A group called "eugene bi-poc art collective" is behind the display.

Bi-poc stands for black, indigenous, and people of color.

To me, it's a very powerful statement.

Especially here in eugene, this is a starting point for a lot of the marches they have.

A lot of the free speech events happen here.

Eugene, in general, is really a home of free speech.

So, to see something like this installed in front of the federal building, it's pretty powerful.

The city of eugene tells kezi nine news they granted this group the proper permit for this mural.

And the group says they're also working on displays at skinner butte park and alton baker park.
