Chinese police officers break front windscreen to rescue motorist trapped in flooded car

Police officers in central China broke the front windscreen to rescue a motorist trapped in a flooded car.

The video, filmed in the city of Yichang in Hubei Province on June 27, shows a woman with only her head above the deep floodwater smash a car window with an umbrella repeatedly to try to save the people inside.

In another clip, one police officer is seen standing on the car bonnet to try and open a hole on the front windscreen to let the trapped motorist out after he and another policeman used hammers to smash the windscreen.

The motorist was finally rescued by the policemen.

The strong rainstorm caused the flash floods in the city, reports said.
