Woman playing on phone misses train then leaps into moving carriage

A woman who missed her train because she was playing on her phone made a running leap to haul herself into the moving carriage.

The passenger, who has not been named, was waiting for the locomotive in Narathiwat, southern Thailand, on Sunday (July 5).

CCTV shows how she was engrossed in her smartphone as the train began pulling away from the platform.

However, a friend of the woman appears to call over to her and she begins running down the line to catch up with the steps.

With a nimble hop and skip, the woman jumped into the carriage.

While dangling down like a Hollywood action movie, her friend then hauled her to safety.

Station staff were shocked when they saw the incident and watched it back on CCTV.

They warned passengers to take more care when waiting for trains and pay attention when their train is due.

''Even if the train is leaving, it's not safe to chase after it like this.

It's better to wait for the next train instead of causing the risk of a serious accident,'' they said in a statement.
